Outcomes & Reports
SVP believes in evaluation and outcomes measurement and our Partners are results-oriented achievers. Therefore, we measure our impact on both the investees and philanthropists we engage.
Our Investees strive to build their capacity with SVP’s pro bono consulting support. Through SVP's Capacity Assessment Tool, originally developed by McKinsey & Co. for Venture Philanthropy Partners, non-profit organizations are able to plan, evaluate, and prioritize how to strengthen their organizations.
SVP Boulder County also releases a Biennial Report to the community highlighting the contributions our Partners have made to investees and the community at-large.
To demonstrate the social impact of SVP investments, we focus on both qualitative and quantitative results. The Most Significant Change tool allows our Investees to report their success stories within a funding year in a narrative format. Additionally, the SVP network asks each investee to quantify the amount of support that SVP has provided. These details are reported through annual capacity building reports. View the 2011 report.
Partners throughout the network are surveyed every-other-year to gauge how their involvement with SVP has impacted their levels of and strategies for giving both dollars and time. Our successes are reported through both a network-wide Philanthropy Outcomes Report and the 2011 SVP Boulder County Philanthropy Outcomes Report.
