Success Stories

“My wife, Amy, and I have learned a lot over the past decade of our philanthropic activity. While we still make small gifts to a number of organizations, we’ve seen the impact that larger gifts make. As a result, we have started concentrating our philanthropy in larger chunks to a small number of organizations. SVP helps us leverage our giving.”  Brad Feld, SVP Partner 2000 to present

The effort SVP has made to strengthen the organizational capacity of its Investees has led to significant improvements in program effectiveness and social benefit. Although it is not possible to quantify these social gains, we have asked Investees to document stories of the most significant change that they have experienced in their organizational capacity as a result of their relationship with SVP.

Several  recent stories that best exemplify the type of change that SVP is trying to promote include:
•    Wild Plum Center for Young Children & Families
•    The Women’s Wilderness Institute
•    Growing Gardens

Partners also find that engagement in SVP provides them with life-changing experiences, moments of joy, and lessons which impact their philanthropic contributions.  Short videos of our partners begin to tell the story of how SVP has impacted partner’s lives.  And, take a look at this story about Partner Mary Cobb: What's so special about SVP?
